New Music: Ariana Grande "Dangerous Woman"

Ariana Grande is back with more music after weeks of teasing her upcoming 3rd Album Dangerous Woman. Yesterday she released the song that inspired the Album Title "Dangerous Woman" and I have to say it is amazing.
From the pop princess you're usually use to an upbeat track followed by her mariah-like voice. Well Ariana is showing us the dangerous woman in her. The song  starts with a funky blues beat while her voice adds a reggae vibe to the song. It leads into a sultry yet kind of dark vibe and has an alternative R&B/neo-soul sound to it. The first single she released,"Focus," can be described as another version of Grande's hit song "Problem" feat. Iggy Azalea. Well this song has no resemblance to any of Grande's other songs, but kind gives you The Weeknd's "Earned It" Feel. The Song showcases her growth as an artist, and highlights a different part of her voice that we usually do not get to see. For me this song is just another reason why Ariana Grande is an amazing artist as she is able to branch out to other genres and yet add her personal flare to it.

Ariana Grande is set to Debut her performance for "Dangerous Woman" on SNL 3/12/16 as she will also be hosting for the first time, and will debut the 3rd single from her forthcoming, which is set to be released May 20th, Dangerous Woman

New Music: Meghan Trainor "No" Review

Meghan Trainor is back with new music FINALLY. So the song is called "NO" from her upcoming solo album "Thank You". With a new album you may have noticed the blondie is now a redhead. Anyway though I'm here to review the "All About That Bass" hitmaker's new song.
First things first the song is freakin' amazing. Yes it is. I mean its so different from the doo-wop vibe her last album had. Once again she pulls pieces from back in the day and adds her unique style and sass to the song but it is more hip hop than 50s doo-wop like her last album. It has a soul feel, but has like a hip hop flare to it. I loved that she showcased more of her pipe power and her rap skills. The lyrics themselves are once again a female empowerment moment from her yet again just in time too for women history month.
“It’s a big anthem for ladies about telling a dude, ‘Nah, I’m good—I’m out here on my own, and I’m good with it’. The scene is me in a club, and the dude comes up to me and I go, ‘No no no. I don’t need your hands all over me. I’m good. I’m gonna dance on my own with my girl".
If her album sounds anything like this lead single I will definitely be buying a copy. I rate the song 4.5-stars.

New Music: Keke Palmer "Enemiez" feat Jeremih Review

Keke Palmer has been blowing up lately, and her new song "Enemiez" is the proof of that. She even gave us the gift of a music video, and I'm here to review the music and the video.
The song gives you and mix of pop and RnB which works perfect with their voices. Its very sexy and sultry in vocals, but also shows her growth as an artist. I think Keke's collaboration with RnB artist Jeremih was a match made in heaven their voices mix well together behind the funky beats, and in that chores just reaches deep into your soul. Thats how you know its a hit. I don't think I have ever heard the maturity in Keke's voice more than in this song. So her music career will definitely be with us for awhile.

Let's talk about this video. Of Course she brings the sexy, but it is very different from her recent video "I Don't Belong to You." In the video, the Scream Queens Star shows off her amazing acting skills as a girl stuck in the middle of two rival groups, and is forced to choose a side but danced her way through it. I absolutely loved the video. She showed there are more sides to her than we ever knew. You could even tell through her face that she is really into it especially during her amazing dance routine. You know with the good comes the bad. The only thing for me was why were the back-up dancers wearing black full body suits that covered their faces? Is there a message behind it? Either way it was a good video. I give both the song and the video 4-stars.

New Music: Zayn Malik "PILLOWTALK"

Everyone Knows #Zaynmalik went solo from #onedirection . Finally we get to hear his firs solo single #PILLOWTALK and I have to say it is impressive. Pillowtalk is RnB filled but followed by sexy pop sound. Its very different from One Direction, which is why Zayn left the group You can see the different styles in the music, the tone, and even the language. Zayn gets into some very adult lyrics, but the song is so good you don't really care.

The song was accompanied by a video. In this video Zayn gets close and personal with Supermodel Gigi Hadid, who is now officially his girlfriend. The video is very artistic, and just different. It also very sexual, which is kind of the context of the song, but it also works.

TBH I am a huge fan of his new music. I have listened to this song about 15 times since yesterday. It is just so good, and I can't wait for his album Mind of Mine, which is set to release March 25th 2016. I rate the song 5-stars, and the video 4-stars.

New Music: Charlie Puth "Nine Track Mind" Album Reivew

Charlie Puth known for his amazing voice and songs such as "See You Again" and "Marvin Gaye" has released his first LP, Nine Track Mind, and of course I had to review it. So check out my review of #charlieputh  +Charlie Puth  new album Nine Track Mind

New Music: Rihanna "Work" Feat. Drake

Work
She's baaaaaack! Finally!!! Rihanna has released a new song called "Work" from her HIGHLY anticipated album Anti. So she just released the song with no warning, but if she did it this way that means it might be good.

The song is actually pretty good. It has a island flare to it that just makes you want to move your body. It is the perfect song to chill with, and just party to. Her vocals were on point, and loved that she added her island flare to this upcoming album. The addition of Drake rap, and singing was just icing on the cake. However it does make me wonder what the vibe for the album will be like. "BBHMM" and "American Oxygen" are completely different from "Work", and themselves. So Anti is kind of a mystery in terms of directions.

I rate the song 3.5-stars, and I hear rumors of a music video coming, which I know will be amazing as this song. You can stream the song from Tidal or Apple Music.

New Music: One Direction - "History" Music Video

Hey guys! Let's get back at it One Direction released their new music video for their song "History."
We all know that 1D is taking a hiatus for a year, and I think with releasing this video it was the perfect way to leave the directioners off.

The video is dedicated to the fans, and through the video they share moments from their last years, and it is leaving me all touchy feely.  I absolutely love the video, and I even love that Zayn was apart of the video because he is apart of one direction's history.

I just feel so sad though that this is over for a year because 1D is for real one of my favorite bands, but at least they ended it in such a sweet way. I also love the song. Its so strong, but it is also like an anthem, which I also like. Anyways I rate this video a full 5-stars, which I rarely give. It is a special moment, and I will remember it.

NEW Music: The Weeknd "In The Night"

the-weeknd-in-the-night-music-video-posterThe Weeknd +TheWeekndVEVO  has just been killing it lately. He recently got multiple Grammy nominations, but its all in the music.

He recently released his music video for "In The Night" Let me tell it is like nothing he has ever done before. You can definitely say its out of the box.
The Weeknd stars along Bella Hadid in this ultra bloody music video, or should I call it a movie. He really channels the dark 80s, and the song is very MJ RIP. I love the music video. Its creative, unique, and nothing like what we are use to from him.

TBH I was not the biggest fan of the song when it came out, but I have grown a liking to it. So without further ado I rate this video 5-stars, and the song 3.5-stars.

New Music: Ariana Grande "Focus"

Ariana Grande has been teasing us all month with her new song "Focus,"  and we are so glad its here. Ariana is back for more with her new single Focus. Finally however she did release it an hour before schedule, and caused an internet frenzy. I love the song, but did not love the chorus though. The man saying "Focus on me" took away from the song. The jazzy trumpet-laced tune is very catchy, and sexy.
This music video though is giving us life, and a little Hotline Bling. Looks like dancing in a box is a thing now LOL. She is also giving us a little "Problem" feel. She looks amazing, and sounds amazing with her platinum blonde hair. It looks like her most expensive video. Go big or Go home right? I cannot wait for her album Moonlight because you know its going to be the bomb.  This is her comeback from her donut licking incident, but its a really good one. So I rate the song and the video 4-stars.

New Music: Becky G "Break a Sweat" Music Video

With her recent splash on Fox's hit show Empire, Becky G is showing us just how to do it in her new music video for "Break A Sweat." This is probably her most expensive music video to date, and I love it. I love the underground, warehouse futuristic vibe of the video. One thing that I didn't like was like the imagination scene, because it kind of did not go with the theme of the video. One thing that I was all for was the fashion. Wardrobe for this music video was off the chain, and it shows all the sides to this spicy Latina. Not to mention the killer choreo. I just love it my favorite up to date.

The catchy, upbeat tune of the song is stuck in our heads, but some of the lyrics are way more suggestive than we are used to from the 18-year-old! The 18-year-old recently landed a plum (and somewhat controversial) role on the second season of Empire, and her debut album is set to release later this year. So she is definitely doing her hustle right now. So if her album is as good as this song I will be the first to pre-order it of course. So I rate this song and video a definite 4.5-stars+Becky G

New Music: Selena Gomez - "Same Old Love" (Music Video)

Selena Gomez is killing it right now. With her new album out, "Revival,"she recently released her music video for the ultra hit song "Same Old Love" I just have to say I love it. Most music videos really focus on the artist themselves, but in this music video Selena is looking at various types of love and relationships as she heads to her concert for her fans. Selena Gomez recently surprised a bunch of them at the Palace Theatre in downtown Los Angeles by including them in the music video for her latest single “Same Old Love.”
I really do like the video.  With her new album, which just released, and her tour dates announcements, Selena is really showing us what she is made of. I can not wait for her future projects.

New Music: The Girl & The Dream Catcher : "Written In The Stars"

Disney Channel Stars Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan have been teasing their new song for weeks now, and we are so happy its out. The boyfriend/girlfriend duo revealed their name to be The Girl and the Dreamcatcher, which I love. They debut their single on Radio Disney Thursday, and the music video on Youtube @ Midnight."We have been talking about releasing original music for a very long time && its finally happening," Dove wrote. "I'm so excited I feel like I might explode into a million tiny, glittery pieces. #WRITTENINTHESTARS will be released at 12:00 midnight ET tonight. stayyyy tuneddd. @thegirlandthedreamcatcher."

I have to say the song is incredible. It shows off their voices well to the strong beats. The music video itself goes well with the song, and it looks absolutely fun.  I love that they are doing some original music. They do amazing covers, but their new music is looking really good. I cannot wait for what they have coming up because you know its gonna rock.

New Music: Sia "Alive"

Sia is back, and better than ever. Her new single "Alive" was released September 24th, 2015. I have to say she has outdone herself once again. The song is a mid-tempo power pop song. IT is so powerful. Once you hear her belt out those strong notes it is just electric.
"Alive", which was co-written with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. was intended for Adele's next album. "Alive" is the first single from her forthcoming album This Is Acting. I absolutely love this song. It is way more power than we have ever seen Sia do, and its just incredible. I give the song 5-stars, and I can not wait till the music video comes out.

New Music: Ellie Goulding "On My Mind" (music video)

Ellie Goulding, On My Way, Music Video
Ellie Goulding has been heating up the charts with her new song "On My Mind." Everyone is talking about the song thinking its about Ed Sheeran, but it is not. The song is amazing. I cannot get the chorus out of my head. Looks like another hit in her hands. "On My Mind" is the first single from Goulding's upcoming third album, Delirium, out Nov. 6.

In the video set in Las Vegas, Goulding  finds herself stuck in a love affair with a casino owner who becomes a bit too controlling for her liking. She teams up with one of her badass gal-pals to get revenge on her man. She and her pal hops on her horse and  taking care of business by tying him up and taking all his money. It definitely gives you Rihanna's "BBHMM" video appeal, but a little less bloody. Ellie shows some major skin in the video, and is not afraid about it. Overall I like the video, but not love. Sorry, but it was just not my cup of tea. I rate this video 2.5-stars, and the song 4-stars.

New Music: Nico & Vinz - "Thats How You Know" feat. Bebe Rexha and Kid Ink (Music Video)

Nico & Vinz are once again showing us how its done in their new video for their song "Thats How You Know." The video opens The visuals opens with Nico and Vinz lying down side-by-side in a psychiatrist's office and recalling crazy things that happened during a wild house party they threw the night before. Viewers are later taken to the disastrous party attended by a bunch of their friends including Bebe Rexha and a mini version of Kid Ink. The song is hilarious "worst case scenario" with all of the horrible things that can happen when a new artist makes the wrong decisions. I loved it and the song too. TBH they need more songs like this. Its different, fresh, and original. They get 4.5-stars from me for both the song and video.

New Music: Justin Bieber - "What Do You Mean" (Music Video)

Justin Bieber has had a eventful week. With his new song being released, Performing at the MTV VMAs for the first time in 5 years, and just releasing his new video. When I first heard "What Do You Mean" I instantly vibed with the song, and it is a good song to get back into music. It had a chill pop kid of vibe, and I liked it. The video however was more of a short movie with VERY steamy sex scenes between Justin and His rumored girlfriend in a motel room. In between the action they get kidnapped by masked men, and end the video in a skate park. Overall I liked the video it was not 100% for me, but it was cool. I rate the video 3.5-stars and the song 4-stars.
