Happy Birthday to Queen Bey!

"I woke up like dis"

Picture of Beyoncé

If you know Queen B you know she is the hottest thing around the world. This multi-talented global phenomena has had people fawning over her for years. Here is her story.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter was born September 4, 1981 in H town( Huston) and was raised there by her mother and father, Tina and Mathew Knowles. At a very young age Beyonce' was favored for her amazing voice and dance skills. In the 90s she teamed up with her cousin, Kelly Rowland, and her friends to form a girl group managed by her dad. They went through a couple of switch-ups and then they landed a record deal. There first No. 1 hit was Bills, bills, bills, which happens to be one of my favorites and here it is.

After this Destiny's Child began a journey to becoming the biggest selling girl group of all time. She made her acting debut in 2001 with a starring role in MTV's Carmen: A Hip Hopera. She then co-starred with Mike Myers in the spy parody Goldmember the following year. Beyoncé starred opposite Cuba Gooding, Jr., in the musical comedy The Fighting Temptations. which grossed $30 million. On the musical front Beyoncé's first solo recording was a feature on Jay-Z's "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" that was released in October 2002, peaking at number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Beyoncé took center stage as a solo artist, releasing her first album, Dangerously in Love, in 2003. The recording became a huge success for her, both commercially and critically. It sold millions of copies and won five Grammy Awards. On the album, As of 2012 it remains Beyoncé's best-selling album, with 11 million copies sold worldwide The album's lead single, "Crazy in Love", featuring Jay-Z, became Beyoncé's first number-one single as a solo artist in the US. here it is for your musical enjoyment .
<--------------------------------

After the amazing gross of her first solo album Beyonce toured around the world then took a break to record the Destiny's child final album, Destiny's Child fulfilled. Anyway, this solo life was just the beginning for Beyonce' as she released  her second studio album, B'Day,  was released on September 5, 2006 which to no surprise was released the day after her bday.  Oh B. your so creative. It sold 541,000 copies in its first week and debuted atop the Billboard 200, becoming Beyoncé's second consecutive number-one album in the United States. B'Day featured such hits as "Irreplaceable" and "Beautiful Liar."

That year she starred opposite Steve Martin in the Pink Pather, which she was fabulous in< grossing $158.8m worldwide. Then she starred in the phenomenal film Dreamgirls based on the Supremes, and of course B. had to play Queen Diana Ross.  In April 2007, Beyoncé embarked on The Beyoncé Experience, her first worldwide concert tour, visiting 97 venues and grossed over $24 million. At the same time, B'Day was re-released with five additional songs, including her duet with Shakira "Beautiful Liar". Truly B. was on top of her game.

In 2008, everyone was thrilled to find out Queen B. would marry her King, Jay Z. You would think they would take a break but No they Didn't, they worked as hard as ever promoting her 3rd studio album I am... Sasha Fierce in 2008. She scored big hits off songs like "Single Ladies( Put a Ring on it)", which you would think she wrote about Jay. As well as the soulful "If i were a Boy", which i had to say is my revolution song. Here are both songs if you never heard them.

The following January, Beyoncé sang James' trademark song, "At Last," for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at his inaugural ball. In March 2009, Beyoncé embarked on the I Am... World Tour, her second headlining worldwide concert tour, consisting of 108 shows, grossing $119.5 million.

She is on the big screen, wing Grammys, going on tour, recording new songs, being a wife, and she still got time to be a spokesperson for several companies and own House of Dereon, clothing, with her mother. She is truly amazing.

In 2010, Beyoncé was featured on Lady Gaga's single "Telephone" and its music video. The song topped the US Pop Songs chart, becoming the sixth number-one for both Beyoncé and Gaga, tying them with Mariah Carey for most number-ones since the Nielsen Top 40 airplay chart launched in 1992. "Telephone" received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Queen B took a hiatus from music in 2010 heeding her mother's advice, "to live life, to be inspired by things again". Queen B was missed from the world, but she wasn't DEAD. She was still FLAWLESS***. During this well deserved break, she traveled the world seeing sites like the wall of China, and the Pyramids in Egypt. Her break lasted only 9 months which i beleive she and Jay used to connect.

Beyoncé found herself under fire for after performing a private concert for Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi on New Year's Eve in 2010. She later donated her fee from the event to help victims of the Haitian earthquake. According to some reports, Beyoncé said that her father had been responsible for arranging the Libyan concert. She decided to drop her father as her manager in March 2011. Later that year, Beyoncé reached the top of the album charts with her latest solo release, 4. Her fourth studio album 4 was released on June 28, 2011 in the US. 4 sold 310,000 copies in its first week and debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, giving Beyoncé her fourth consecutive number-one album in the US. The album was preceded by two of its singles "Run the World (Girls)" and "Best Thing I Never Had", which both attained moderate success. "Run the World(Girls)" really became the girl revolution song for the world. Here is the song with the amazing video.
On January 7, 2012, Beyoncé gave birth to her first, beautiful girl, Blue Ivy Carter, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York under heavy security. Five months later, she performed for four nights at Revel Atlantic City's Ovation Hall to celebrate the resort's opening, her first performances since giving birth to Blue Ivy.
In January 2013, Destiny's Child released Love Songs, a compilation album of the romance-themed songs from their previous albums and a newly recorded track, "Nuclear". Beyoncé performed the American national anthem  but got some heat for singing to a pre-recorded version at President Obama's second inauguration in Washington, D.C. She them made her Super bowl debut at the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The performance stands as the second most tweeted about moment in history at 268,000 tweets per minute. I have to say she killed that performance, and makes everyone who go after her look like chumps. Queen B is definitely stinging.  At the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, Beyoncé won for Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Love on Top". Her documentary film was release in 2014 on HBO featuring alot of her old videos, and more.

In 2013 she released her self-titled album unexpectedly on iTunes and knocked Katy Perry out of the water for the most impromptu album release.  It was described as a "visual album" due to every track having a music video. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, giving Beyoncé her fifth consecutive number-one album in the US.This made her the first woman in the chart's history to have her first five studio albums debut at number one. Beyoncé received critical acclaim and commercial success, selling one million digital copies worldwide in six days. This album was unlike any album B. has ever wrote. This album dealt with darker things like bulimia, postpartum depression, and her fears of motherhood and marriage. From that album she had the hit "Drunk in Love" ft Jay Z which she received mixed reviews about her dancing and being a mother. I have to say i loved this video it really captures the meaning of the song plus they did a amazing performance at the Grammy's that year. Here is the song you be the judge.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z officially announced their On the Run Tour. It served as the couple's first co-headlining stadium tour together. On August 24, 2014, she received the Video Vanguard Award at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards after she performed a 8-minute medley to her self-titled album. She also took home three competitive awards: Best Video with a Social Message and Best Cinematography for "Pretty Hurts," as well as best collaboration for "Drunk in Love." In November, Forbes reported that Beyoncé was the top-earning woman in music for the second year in a row—earning $115 million in the year, more than double her earnings in 2013. Go B. Beyoncé was reissued with new material in three forms: as an extended play, a box set, as well as a full platinum edition. This platinum edition i believe sold more copies that the original. It included the Flawless the remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Here is the song performed live .The album also included Drunk in love remix ft Kanye West and Jay Z SO GO CHECK IT OUT.

So what is Next to Queen B?? Is it more children?? Maybe another album??? All i know is Queen B will be in our hearts forever and she will always be FLAWLESS.
