Tonight’s HTGAWM season 2 premiere starts off with a look at how Rebecca was killed, Frank and Annalise talking about hiding the body. Wes shows up to Annalise’s class late and then passing on answering her questions during her lecture. He completely defies her in class and then when they get back to Annalise’s house, they are all fighting like cats and dogs.
Annalise is watching the news and got wind of a pair of adoptive siblings that are accused of killing their parents and she goes to pay them a visit to try and get their case. She leaves them her card and tells them to call her when their lawyer screws up.
When she gets back to her house, she tells them how they are going to get this case and win it and that’s when an unexpected visitor shows up in her living room. Eve Rothlow, a death row lawyer who Annalise told Nate to contact. Eve refuses to take Nate’s case, Annalise is begging her to take it and in the end, it sounds like she might take the case.
All of the students are scrambling to get as much information on the case of the siblings who killed their parents and Wes is also trying to see if he can find Jane Does that match Rebecca’s description. Later, Annalise pulls Wes aside and he apologizes for his outburst in her class. Annalise then feeds him a lie about Rebecca telling him that they found her at a motel in Philly.
Eve goes to meet with Nate and after their meeting Nate calls Annalise to tell her that Eve refuses to take his case. Annalise then goes to talk to Eve and she tells Annalise that she refuses to take the case because Annalise framed him and Annalise doesn’t deny it.
Earlier Wes left the house and Frank tails him, but Wes doesn’t go to the motel to find Rebecca like they expect him to. Later, Annalise has him over to talk to him and find out that he didn’t go look for her because she doesn’t want him to. Meanwhile Laurel shows up at Frank’s house and asks him if Rebecca is dead and after he tells her to stop overreacting and go home and act like a normal law student, he goes to see Annalise.
Frank tells Annalise what Laurel says and tells her that he thinks it was Laurel that killed Rebecca, Annalise tells him that it wasn’t her and that he has the wrong girl. The next thing we see is Annalise knocking on Bonnie’s door and Bonnie asking if everything is ok. Annalise tells her “no” and walks into her apartment.
We then get a look at Bonnie and Rebecca the day that Rebecca was killed and it starts off with Bonnie bringing her something to drink. She then sits down and talks to her and then she duct tapes her mouth shut and ties a bag around her head and kills her. After Annalise calls her a monster for what she did, she heads over to Eve’s to talk to her.
We then find out a little about their backstory, they seemed to have been in love in college and Annalise left her for Sam. Annalise admits to Eve that she framed Nate, but not because she killed Sam, but because she is protecting the person who did. Annalise and her talk a little longer about their past and then Eve invites her to stay in the guest room.
When Annalise and her start walking towards the guest room, Annalise kisses Eve and then promptly apologizes. Eve tells her not to apologize and told Annalise that she thinks about her everyday and then kisses her back. Well, this is an interesting plot twist! I will say that I’m surprised that we found out who killed Rebecca so soon though.
We end the episode of with Annalise talking to the siblings and they decide to hire Annalise and Eve decides to take Nate’s case. We then get a look at Annalise taking the students out for a night out to have fun and let loose a little bit. Meanwhile, Connor moved into Oliver’s apartment and then we see Bonnie at home watching the news. The star witness in the siblings trial, their aunt who claimed to see them leave the house right after the murder, was found dead in her car!
Then, we get a look at 2 months later and Annalise is shot and left for dead in the house of the siblings!? What is going on here!? Come back next week to find out!
