We have lost another Icon. David Bowie, known for his unique sound in music is gone sadly.
Bowie died Sunday after an 18-month battle with cancer.
"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family's privacy during their time of grief," said a statement posted on his official social media accounts.
He recently released his latest album, "Blackstar", last friday on his Birthday.
It shot to no. 1 on the iTunes chart in the U.K. and no. 2 in the U.S., underscoring his appeal even after decades in the music business.
Its just amazing how his music transcends to different generations, and how it can be as popular as his other music for over four decades ago
We pray for his family and we pray that he rests in peace. We had the gift of getting to know this amazing Icon, who has reinvented music, and I am happy that we still have that even if he may be gone.
